Të 104th Vjetori i bastisjes heroike dhe historike të Dover patrullojnë mbi Zeebrugge në ditën e Shën Gjergjit 1918 u përkujtua në një ceremoni vjetore më 23 Prill.
At noon, Kryetari i Bashkisë së Doverit, Këshilltari Gordon Cowan i ra ziles së Zeebrugge. The Bell ishte një dhuratë e sajë nga mbreti i Belgjikës në njohjen e sakrificës së Dover-së degraduar.
Reverend Catherine Tucker conducted a service at the People of Dover’s War memorial. A wreath was laid on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen by the Deputy Lieutenant of Kent Mr Bill Fawcus, Councillor Cowan then laid a wreath on behalf of the Town Council and People of Dover followed by representatives of the Armed Forces, the Feestcomite of Zeebrugge, Veteran’s Associations and other Community Groups.
rr. Bastisja e Ditës së Gjergjit në nishanin në Zeebrugge ishte një episod më frymëzues i historisë së fundit britanike dhe belge. Megjithë humbjen e tmerrshme të jetës, bastisjes Zeebrugge ndihmoi për të përshpejtuar fundin e Luftës së Parë Botërore.
