The development of Snargate Street is currently in progress, with the aim of making the area more appealing and inviting for people to visit from both the town and the port. To achieve this goal, two public consultations were held in the last year to gather feedback and suggestions from the community.
Based on the feedback received, decisions were made to enhance the area by introducing more signage and planting. These additions will not only make Snargate Street more aesthetically pleasing but will also help visitors navigate the area with ease.
Overall, the development of Snargate is a collaborative effort between the community and local authorities to create a vibrant and welcoming destination for tourists and locals alike.
By 14th June 2023 – the fabricated signage had been installed for the locals and visitors to view – the reception has been well received. The signage is a result of months of consultations with Dover Town Council and Snargate Street Businesses and residents to design the signage, updates on this development was also passed to the Dover Community AD so others could hear about the Snargate Street developments.
