Walk with Amal“Dover needs much more of this” says Mayor of Dover, Y Cynghorydd Gordon Cowan

“Mae'n ddigwyddiad anhygoel a phwysig i Dover”

“Mae'n wych gweld digwyddiad yn cysylltu'r Dref a'r Castell”

“Rhyfeddol ac ysblennydd - mae'r llusernau'n brydferth”

Hundreds of local people carrying 500 handmade lanterns and stars turned out on Wednesday 20fed October to greet Amal and walk with her in procession from Pencester Gardens up to Dover Castle. At the Castle a new Lighthouse of Stars was lit up as a sign of welcome and hope to those seeking safety and refuge.

Amal is a 3.5m tall puppet of a refugee child made by those who created War Horse. She is walking 8000km from the Syrian border across Europe to Manchester to highlight the plight of child refugees and raise awareness and understanding in the communities she visits.

CIC Ffowndri Dover’s Future, gyda chefnogaeth gyda grant o £ 1,500 gan y Cyngor Tref, trefnodd y digwyddiad yn Dover yn cynnwys plant o ysgolion lleol ac aelodau o'r cyhoedd. Diolch i bawb a gefnogodd Walk with Amal. You are the proof that Dover is a Community that Cares
