Sa 11.00am sa Remembrance Sunday Dover men, women and children gathered at the People of Dover’s War Memorial to honour the memory of all the service men and women who gave their lives in armed conflicts past and present. Over 50 Ang mga wreath ay inilatag sa panahon ng serbisyo, tinatakpan ang memorial sa mga pulang poppies, bilang tanda ng pasasalamat ng Bayan sa mga sakripisyong ginawa upang matiyak ang ating kapayapaan at kalayaan.
Ang parada ng mga pamantayan, ang mga beterano at iba pang organisasyon ay nagmartsa patungo sa War Memorial sa harap ng Maison Dieu House kung saan ang dalawang minutong katahimikan ay naobserbahan kasama ng mga Civic Leaders. Ang paglalagay ng korona ay pinangunahan ng Deputy Lieutenant ng Kent, The Lord Northbourne, sa ngalan ng Kanyang Kamahalan na Hari, sinundan ng Bayan Mayor ng Dover, Councilor Susan Jones, the Chairperson of Dover District Council, Cllr Gordon Cowan and Member of Parliament for Dover and Deal Mrs. Natalie Elphicke. Ang mga korona ay inilatag ng mga kinatawan ng mga unipormeng serbisyo at mga asosasyon ng mga beterano. Everyone was welcome to pay their tribute including local organisations and the families of the fallen.
Our thanks go to all those who attended our service to remember the fallen including the White Cliffs Branch of the Royal British Legion who set out the Garden of Remembrance and collected for the Poppy Appeal in all weathers over the last two weeks. We are also grateful for the oration by Nick Chatwin Rn(Rtd), Parade Marshal Mr Alan Tinker of the Dover and Deal Sea Cadets, Mr John Harknett ng Royal Green Jackets Association para sa paglalaro ng huling post at reveille, Betteshanger Colliery Welfare Band at Cantium Brass Band para sa pangunguna sa musika, ang mga Standard Bearers, at ang mga kabataan ng ating Cadet forces na dumalo at nagsilbing mga guwardiya sa panahon ng serbisyo.
Ang Memorial Service ay pinangunahan ng Reverend Catherine Tucker Team Rector para sa Dover Town Team Ministry at Flt. Sinabi ni Lt. Malcom Sawyer, RAFVR (Rtd), Chaplain sa Royal British legion (Dover).
Natapos ang serbisyo sa isang taludtod ng Pambansang Awit.
Ang Parada pagkatapos ay nagmartsa pabalik sa Bayan patungo sa Market Square kung saan ang Alkalde ay sumaludo sa St. Iglesia ni Mary.
