Det var bara lite mer påsksol i Dover as 161 lokala hushåll nominerade av skolor och samhällsledare njöt av chokladägg tillsammans med sina egna favoritgodis med snabbköpskuponger som tillhandahålls som en del av rådets påskprojekt. Following on from a similar successful scheme at Christmas the Council has worked to give a special boost to households including children that would otherwise have “fallen through the net”. Councillors pulled together using their Ward Grant budgets and the Mayor, Councilloren Gordon Cowan, stepped in with a pledge from savings in his own civic budgets to find over £2000 to support the project.
