72% of young people in Dover want access to free cinema

In their recent Dover Youth Survey with 500 murid sekolah menengah, Future Foundry mendapati bahawa aktiviti paling popular yang disenaraikan oleh golongan muda ialah pawagam, dengan 72% daripada peserta mengatakan mereka mahu akses ke pawagam percuma. Sebagai tindak balas, Future Foundry are launching their own Film Club to offer free film screenings to young people aged 14 kepada 19 and help foster a community of movie makers here in the town.

The Future Foundry Film Club will be led by filmmaker and Dover resident, Ed Webb-Ingall, (senior lecturer at the University of Arts, London). Film Club participants are invited to bring their own films and videosincluding TikTok videosto be shown at the club and the first free film screening will be The Movie Makers by Anna Raczynski, looking at intergenerational community filmmaking. The club will be a friendly, supportive space for young filmmakers to discuss, share, collaborate, learn new skills and work on their own films. No experience or skills are needed to attend.

Look out for further club dates and the next generation of filmmaking stars sharing their work made in Dover.
