Ponad 2000 funtów zostało formalnie przekazane organizacyjnym zapaleniem opon mózgowych przez burmistrza, Radny Neil Rix. Zapalenie opon mózgowych finansuje teraz badania nad chorobą i wspiera rodziny cierpiących. Ben Williams received the cheque on behalf of the Charity in memory of his son Harry. During the year there have been a number of well supported fund raising events for the Charity run by the Mayor – the latest being a tour of the South Foreland lighthouse and the Fan Bay tunnels where the cheque presentation took place. Neil said “Meningitis can come out of the blue and destroy lives so quickly, we want to remember Harry in the best way possible and for there to be a cure for this terrible illness”
