Hari Angkatan Tentera ialah peluang untuk menunjukkan sokongan kami kepada lelaki dan wanita yang membentuk Komuniti Angkatan Tentera – sedang berkhidmat dengan tentera, keluarga perkhidmatan, veterans and cadets and provide a much valued morale boost for our troops and their families.
The United Kingdom Armed Forces defend us and our interests. They are busy working around the world, promoting peace, delivering aid, tackling drug smugglers, providing security and fighting terrorism. Our troops are brave and dedicated men and women taking risks and making sacrifices so we can live safe and comfortable lives.
Dover has always been a front line town with a proud military history. Dover is an original Cinque Port and known as the birthplace of the Royal Navy. This year the Mayor of Dover, Ahli majlis Neil Rix, is also Speaker of the Cinque Ports an ancient office with a modern relevance as the Town’s maritime links and the first rate sea-skills of Dover people continue to be nationally and internationally important.
