Dover District Council (DDC) on murtautunut kolmeen kehityskohteeseen, jotka yhdessä tarjoavat 50 uusia kohtuuhintaisia koteja. All of the homes will be available for rent by local people on the Council’s waiting list.
The developments at Napchester Road in Whitfield (26 homes); Kimberley Close in Dover (16 homes); ja, Stockdale Gardens in Deal (8 homes) are the latest phase in the biggest programme of new council housing built in the district in a generation.
DDC plans to build up to 500 uusia kohtuuhintaisia koteja.
Both the Kimberley Close and Stockdale Gardens developments are brownfield sites formerly occupied by Council garages. They are for social rent and will provide interim accommodation for people who find themselves homeless before they move into permanent homes.

Cllr Derek Murphy, DDC’s Cabinet Member for Housing, sanoi: “We’re delighted to start work on the next phase of our affordable housing development programme, delivering new homes for local people.
“We’re also building back better with homes which are more sustainable, designed to contribute to the Council’s net zero carbon target.”
All three developments are being built by Folkestone-based, Jenner Group.

DDC on myös toimittanut suunnitelmat uudesta 24 uudet asunnot Poulton Close -aukiolla Doverissa.
Doverin kaupunginvaltuuston tiedottaja sanoi –
"Suhtaudumme lämpimästi tähän tärkeään askeleeseen laadukkaiden sosiaalisten asuntojen saatavuuden parantamiseksi kaikkein heikoimmassa asemassa oleville kotitalouksille"
