Dover viert dit jaar Kerstmis in stijl met een 8 meter hoge boom op het Marktplein bedekt met 6000 lichten in blauw en schitterend wit allemaal bekroond met een speciale feestelijke ster. De boom is omgeven door 60 grote sneeuwvlokversieringen in bijpassende blauw en wit zijn verspreid over het stadscentrum in Upper en Lower Biggin St en Cannon St. Bij de gemeenteraadskantoren van Maison Dieu House zijn er 11 maretaksterren die de nabijgelegen boom prachtig verlichten. Modern Christmas decorations move with the times and we have projectors in the Market Square and outside Maison Dieu House making magical light patterns with dancing snowflakes.
The lights come on as it gets dark each day at 3.30pm in the afternoon and are switched off at 10.30pm and you can enjoy them every day until 4th Januari. Local businesses and Dover High Street need your support especially now, but please act responsibly and in line with all the relevant covid-19 restrictions.
