Dover fejrer jul med stil i år med et 28 fod højt træ på markedspladsen dækket af 6000 lys i blåt og strålende hvidt alt sammen toppet med en særlig festlig stjerne. Træet er omgivet af over 60 large snowflake decorations in matching blue and white are spread throughout the Town Centre in Upper and Lower Biggin St and Cannon St. At the Town Council offices at Maison Dieu House there are 11 mistletoe stars beautifully lighting up the nearby tree. Modern Christmas decorations move with the times and we have projectors in the Market Square and outside Maison Dieu House making magical light patterns with dancing snowflakes.
The lights come on as it gets dark each day at 3.30pm in the afternoon and are switched off at 10.30pm and you can enjoy them every day until 4th Januar. Local businesses and Dover High Street need your support especially now, but please act responsibly and in line with all the relevant covid-19 restrictions.
