Členové našeho místního Royal British Legion (White Cliffs) Branch braved the rain today to lay out the Garden of Remembrance at the People of Dover’s War Memorial. The black British Legion official crosses are placed in memory of all those regiments connected with Dover during the two World Wars. Coordinator and former Reservist Peter Hall has been part of the hard-working team for 10 léta.

It is a privilege to do this work each year in memory of all those men and women who put their lives on the line. My Father was in the RAF and I wear his medals not only for him but to commemorate all those thousands of others who risked as much as he did and gave their lives
Members of the RBL will be at the Garden of Remembrance for the next two weeks collecting as part of the Poppy Appeal in support of the Charity which does so much to help our service men and women and their families.

Město Roční Service vzpomínek se bude konat v lidu Památník doverského války v 11.00 v neděli 10 Listopadu 2019 připomínat všechny ty správce, kteří k tomu dali životy ve službě své zemi. Všichni jsou zváni k účasti.
Průvod norem, veteránů a dalších organizací bude sestavovat mimo B&M Store (bývalý Marks & bolero) v Biggin ulici v 10.30 hodin a pochod do válečného pomníku před Maison Dieu domu, kde budou dvě minuty ticha pozorované v 11.00. Památník služby bude probíhat prostřednictvím starosty čestný kurátovi, Reverend Sean Sheffield and will be followed by the laying of wreaths. Průvod se pak pochod zpět přes město na náměstí. Radní Gordon Cowan, Pravý Worshipful starosta města Dover bude trvat pozdrav na St. Kostel Marie.
Priory Road budou dočasně uzavřen od kruhového objezdu na semaforech Ladywell, zatímco služba je v průběhu.
