V 11.00 na Remembrance neděli Dover mužů, women and children gathered at the People of Dover’s War Memorial to honour the memory of all the service men and women who gave their lives in armed conflicts past and present.
Průvod norem, veteránů a dalších organizací došla k památníku války před Maison Dieu domu, kde byla dvě minuty ticha pozorované s občanští vůdcové. Věnec, kterým se vedl náměstek nadporučík Kent jménem Jejího Veličenstva královny, následované starosty města Dover. Náměstek primátora Calais, Dover dvojče město reprezentoval jeho komunitu. Každý byl vítán položit věnec asociací včetně veterána, místní organizace a rodiny padlých. We are grateful to Lance Corporal Kamal of the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas who played the last post.
Our thanks go to all those who attended our service to honour and remember the fallen including the White Cliffs Branch of the Royal British Legion who set out the Garden of Remembrance and collected for the Poppy Appeal in all weathers over the last two weeks. We are also grateful to the Choir of St Edmund’s School and Cantium Brass for leading the music, standardní nositelé, and the young people of our Cadet forces who acted as sentries during the service.
Památník Service byla celebroval Reverend Sean Sheffield, Čestný kaplan na Staroměstské starosta a kaplan Royal Green Jackets asociace a Flt. lt. Malcolm Sawyer, RAFVR (RTD), Kaplan na Royal Britské legie (Dover).
Přehlídka pak pochodoval zpět přes město na náměstí, kde se starosta vzal pozdrav v St. Kostel Marie.
