Busy from start to end! – Tower Hamlets Forum Community Engagement Day 19 Februari

It was busy from the get-go – the Tower Hamlets Forum Community Engagement Day at The Ark was full of local families finding out more about their local communities and meeting their neighbours. Children had loads to keep them occupied and having fun. The Bug Man was there with his creepy-crawlies (not for the easily scared!), het schminken team nooit gestopt en de White Cliffs Countryside partnerschaps- en Kent Wildlife Trust had veel informatie en activiteiten over onze lokale natuurlijke omgeving.

The day was supported by a Town Council Ward Grant from Tower Hamlets Councillors Pam Brivio and Tui Sancha. Pam and Tui were both there during the day listening to local people and learning more about the things that concerned them.

Pam commented afterwards

“It was great to see people of all ages come along the well-attended Tower hamlets Forum CED; lots of positive comments including “really good, lots of organisations and children’s activities; kids loved the bug man, lovely time, felt welcomed”

And Tui agreed saying

“I had a wonderful day meeting lots of different people, I feel more engaged and have a better understanding of the Tower Hamlets community. I also ate cake and got to sit in a Fire Engine, a good all-round fun family day.”

Thanks to everyone who came and especially to those who provided the delicious refreshments that kept us all going!
