The Town Council held events at Maison Dieu House and the Louis Armstrong Pub to mark White Ribbon Day on November 25th – the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Men everywhere are asked to recognise the necessity for them to stand up and take responsibility in working towards a future without violence against women. The first step is wearing a white ribbon for the next 16 Days of action (until Human Rights Day on 10th prosinec) and making the Promise – never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.
The focus of White Ribbon 2019 se na budoucnost a zajištění mladší generace jsou připravovány s dobrou znalosti problematiky a co je třeba udělat, aby se situace nezmění.
Dover městská rada zaregistrovali na podporu kampaně v loňském roce a 2019 akce zahrnuty příležitostí dozvědět se o setkání kampaně s prací Dover Pride, poradenství v oblasti pohody, a příležitost k řemeslu svůj vlastní bílou stuhou.
