Town Council Boosts Campaign for Plastics Free Community Status

The Town Council has got behind Transition Dover’s campaign for Dover to be designated a “Plastics Free Community”. The Council backed resolutions at its meeting on 27 Maart te blijven eenmalig gebruik plastics uit zijn gebouwen te verwijderen, plastic gratis initiatieven in de stad aan te moedigen en een vertegenwoordiger te treden tot de Plastic Gratis Gemeenschap Stuurgroep.

Dover Town Council has already stopped using many single use plastics and takes care when purchasing to minimise the use of plastic. Plastic is always re-cycled where possible.

The Council believes this is a small next step towards tackling the wider issue of reducing pollution in the town and surrounding sea and countryside improving the environment for everyone.
