Pilsētas dome ir atpalikusi no pārejas Doveras kampaņas, kas paredzēta Doverai, lai tā tiktu izraudzīta par “plastmasas bezmaksas kopienu”. Padome atbalstīja rezolūcijas tās sanāksmē 27 March to continue to remove single use plastics from its premises, encourage plastic free initiatives in the Town and send a representative to join the Plastic Free Community Steering Group.
Dover Town Council has already stopped using many single use plastics and takes care when purchasing to minimise the use of plastic. Plastic is always re-cycled where possible.
The Council believes this is a small next step towards tackling the wider issue of reducing pollution in the town and surrounding sea and countryside improving the environment for everyone.
