Dover Outreach Centre otrzymało prawie 800 funtów zebranych przez radną burmistrza Sue Jones podczas wydarzeń charytatywnych w ciągu roku. Centrum Pomocy zapewnia osobom bezdomnym drogę do normalnego życia, włączając pomoc w zakwaterowaniu, opieka zdrowotna, and the everyday things like a postal address that most of us can take for granted. Many of the people that Outreach have helped our now back in work.
A quiz, a celebration of International Women’s Day and a Motorcycle Show and tea at the Dover Transport Museum all contributed to the final total which is being shared between the Mayor’s chosen charities the Outreach Centre and the Alzheimer’s Society.

All the events raising money for charities this year have been well attended and great fun with lots of Dover’s great community spirit in evidence. I am so pleased to have been able to do my bit as Mayor to raise the profile of organisations doing so much good work together with some much needed funds.
