乔治是理事会的成员 1997 至 2007, 并担任镇长 2003-4. George is remembered for his enthusiasm for the work of the Council, his sense of fun and ability to put all who met him at their ease. Under George’s leadership the Council undertook the bulk of the work that saw Maison Dieu House restored and returned to the Town’s ownership. George also promoted and championed the placing of plants and colourful flowers in the Town Centre, a tradition which the Town Council has maintained and which has become such a well-loved feature of Dover in recent years.
Our thoughts are with George’s family and friends at this sad time.
