Vasárnap 11.00 órakor 11 november 2018, 100 évekkel a fegyverszünet aláírása után 1918, Dover emlékezni fog mindazon katonákra és nőkre, akik életüket adták hazájuk szolgálatában. In this year of special thanksgiving for the end of the First World War, a mural commemorating the sacrifices made by those who served their country in time of war has been installed next to the War Memorial.

“They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;

They sit no more at familiar tables of home;

They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;

They sleep beyond England’s foam”.

The Dover Garden of Remembrance looks amazing. The British Legion Memorial Crosses will be in place from now until 2 weeks after Remembrance Sunday and the wreaths for a month. Bárki, aki szeretné összegyűjteni koszorúját, megteheti, vagy újrahasznosítják.
