Aziz. George's Day'in Zeebrugge'deki köstebeğe yaptığı baskın, son İngiliz ve Belçika tarihinin en ilham verici bir bölümüydü.. Korkunç can kaybına rağmen, Zeebrugge Baskını, Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nın sonunu hızlandırmaya yardımcı oldu.

Following the ceremony at the cemetery further respects were paid at Dover Town Hall where, ve daha sonra, Dover Belediye Başkanı, Councillor Chris Precious rang the Zeebrugge Bell. Çan, Belçika Kralı'nın Dover'ın hayatını kaybettiği fedakarlığı nedeniyle bir teşekkür hediyesiydi..
