Everyone was welcome to the first Neighbourhood Panning Workshop held in the Biggin Hall on 28 November – and despite the grim weather the hall was soon full of local people sharing their detailed knowledge of Dover and thoughts about how to make the Town a better place to live and work.
Plānošanas eksperti skaidroja, kā kaimiņattiecību plānu var izmantot Dover - dodot vietējiem iedzīvotājiem iespēju attīstīt vīziju par nākotnes pār nākamo 20 gadiem, izlemt, kur viņi vēlētos jaunu attīstību, kādas jaunas infrastruktūras (piemēram, ceļu) ir vajadzīgs, un plānot atbalsta un kopienas telpas dzīvē viņi vēlas dzīvot.
The meeting then broke into smaller groups to consider themes in detail including
- Vietējās kopienas, veselība un labklājība
- Vajadzības pēc mājokļa
- Pilsētas dizains un raksturs
- Osta, transports un infrastruktūra
- Iespējas tūrismā, nodarbinātība, izglītība un apmācība
- Vide, Atpūtas un atvērtās telpas
Spēcīgi viedokļi tika izteikti visapkārt, un atgriezeniskās saites sesija bija dzīva, jo tika diskutēts par atšķirīgiem uzskatiem un pieredze, un visiem bija iespēja dot savu ieguldījumu un tikt uzklausītam.
From now onwards there will be a whole series of events to consult with local people and to gather the evidence need for the Plan. The Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group is looking for members from all sections of the community and also for people to contribute to smaller focus groups -so if you have a bit of time and an interest in Dover’s future or expert knowledge you would be really welcome!
