ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਲਈ ਡੋਵਰ ਰੇਨਬੋ ਫਲੈਗ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਕੇ ਫਰਵਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ LGBT ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ. The 2019 ਥੀਮ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਲ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ.

LBGT ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ –

• ਲੈਸਬੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਓ, ਸਮਲਿੰਗੀ ਲਿੰਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸਜੈਂਡਰ ਲੋਕ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ, ਵਿਆਪਕ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ

• Raise awareness and advance education on matters affecting the LGBT Community

• Work to make educational and other institutions safe spaces for all LGBT Communities

• Promote the welfare of LGBT people by ensure that the education system recognises and enables LGBT people to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilled lives thus benefiting society as a whole.ਡਿਪਟੀ ਮੇਅਰ, Councillor Ian Palmer said –

Flying the rainbow flag is a small gesture but still a very positive outward symbol of inclusiveness, one that openly helps to demonstrate a working commitment towards equalities.
