Ziemassvētku vakars iezīmēs 101 gadus kopš pirmā bumba nokrita uz Lielbritānijas zemes Lielā kara sākumā. The explosive landed in Taswell Street but was intended for Dover Castle. It fell short and threw a gardener at St James’s Rectory, James Banks, from a tree he was pruning. Mr Banks was not seriously hurt.
The Reverend John Walker will deliver a short commemorative service in front of the blue plaque on Taswell Street at 10:45 uz 24 Decembris 2015 and and Town Mayor of Dover, Cllr Chris Precious will lay a floral tribute.
