St Radigund’s Community Centre Success

St Radigund’s Community Centre is celebrating the refurbishment of its toilets paid for by the Town Council and undertaken by local builders Hippersons. Andrew Sanalitro, Chair of Trustees said

We are extremely grateful to Dover Town Council for funding our toilets refurbishment. Good facilities are expected by all and now we are proud of what we have. Many visitors have commented on how lovely they are. The contractors went above and beyond to do a good job so thank you to them as well. It has given us new motivation to get our centre full of activities for the residents of St. Radigund’s and Dover.

Business at the Centre is brisk and there is already lots happening – including a Youth Club, an Activity Group for the over 55s, Children’s Sure Start Centre and Royal British Legion Industries workspace. Everyone is welcome at the regular Thursday coffee mornings from 9.30 إلى 11.00 – bring the children too! The Centre is also the place to go for information about local services and other community facilities and support

Centre users are able to choose from a wide range of modern, fully accessible and well-maintained facilities – including a large light main hall with kitchen and smaller hall which is perfect for smaller groups and meetings. Users have access direct from the main hall to the gardens outside and there is a children’s play area with brand new equipment just next door. Plenty of free parking and bus routes nearby make the Centre easy for everyone to get to.

Volunteer Trustees are working hard to make sure that improvements and investment continue to keep meeting the needs of the local community as they change and develop. Just recently the Centre was successful in being granted funds for under 5s play equipment and an activity programme. More volunteers are always needed and very welcome to help out at the Centre – if you have some spare time or skills to share please contact the Centre (see details below) or just drop in to a Thursday coffee morning.
