Unveiling Future Foundry’s Project Space upstairs at The Charlton Centre with 8 days of free half term activities with local artists.

Singer songwriter Jake St Ange will be performing live at 2pm this Saturday to launch Future Foundry’s brand new project space upstairs at The Charlton Centre (41 High St, Dover CT16 1TT), surrounded by new exhibitions by young people of Dover.

The Dover Youth Festival will also be opened by the Mayor of Dover, Sue Jones, accompanied by Kevin Mills, the Leader of Dover District Council and Adam Coleman, Senior Manager for Children, Young People & Learning from Arts Council England.

The Festival then runs for 8 dienas, with a programme of artistic, sporting, culinary and cultural activities inspired by the Dover Youth Survey. It champions young voices by collaborating with local creative pioneers, offering free activities for young people in a brand new venue in the centre of Dover over the October half term.

Highlights include a film festival with artists Ed Webb-Ingall and Rhianna Bonterre, a ceramics workshop with Great Pottery Throwdown’s Rainna Erbas, drag workshops with local cabaret stars from The Anxious Pickle club, challenging gender stereotypes with Casey Brett’s food workshops, Future Creatives Takeover and Waste Workshop with Zo Defferary to mark Climate Action Day, parental acceptance with Channel 4 & Netflix’s Drag SOS star Poppy Love, and collaborations with Dover Athletic and Dover Grammar School to kick off Dover’s First Girls Football Team.
