Town Mayor Visits the Historic Nao Victoria

The Right Worshipful Town Mayor of Dover visited the Nao Victoria during the historic ship’s visit to Dover Marina in August 2026.
The Nao Victoria is a replica of the ship that made history as part of the Magellan–Elcano expedition of 1519–1522, which completed the first circumnavigation of the world. Of the five ships that originally set out on the expedition, the Victoria was the only vessel to complete the remarkable journey and return to Spain.
The ship’s visit gave people in Dover the opportunity to step aboard and discover what life was like for sailors more than 500 ปีที่แล้ว, while learning about the challenges, navigation and extraordinary achievements of one of the most significant voyages in maritime history.
