Rupert Harris Conservation is carrying out restorative maintenance on the People of Dover War Memorial on 16/10/25, located on Biggin Street outside the Dover Town Council offices. This is part of the Council’s regular programme of care to ensure the memorial remains in excellent condition.
ดิ People of Dover War Memorial stands as a lasting tribute to those from Dover who gave their lives during the First World War. It was unveiled on 5 พฤศจิกายน 1924 โดยรองพลเรือเอก Sir Roger Keyes. Following the Second World War, further inscriptions were added to commemorate the fallen from both conflicts. The memorial was designed and sculpted by Reginald R. Goulden, a Dover-born artist (1877–1932).
