The talk explored how thoughtful planting can transform everyday places into welcoming, vibrant spaces for everyone to enjoy. By choosing plants that are sustainable, seasonal, and suited to their surroundings, public areas which was presentated from their recent projects on roundabouts, estates, and walkways and how they can be developed and revitalised in new ways—bringing colour, interest, and a stronger sense of place to our communities.
Dover Town Council is looking at new ways to reimagine overlooked spaces, with planting schemes designed to be maintained through community-led care. This approach encourages local groups to shape and support pocket areas, helping them grow into more vibrant, resilient parts of the town.
