Humanda sa Read to the Beat
Naghahanda na ang Kent Libraries na ilunsad ngayong taon Hamon sa Pagbasa sa Tag-init: Read to the Beat, at ang mga lokal na pamilya ay hinihikayat na makibahagi.
Ang Hamon ay tumatakbo mula sa Sabado 4 Hulyo hanggang Sabado 5 Setyembre 2026 at ganap na libre para sa mga batang may edad na 4 sa 11. Hinihikayat nito ang mga bata na masiyahan sa pagbabasa, bisitahin ang kanilang lokal na aklatan at makibahagi sa mga masasayang aktibidad sa buong tag-araw.
Ang tema ng taong ito, Read to the Beat, nagdiriwang ng musika, ritmo at pagkamalikhain sa pamamagitan ng pagbabasa. Ang mga bata ay maaaring tumuklas ng mga bagong libro, galugarin ang mga kwento at tunog, and enjoy a positive reading challenge during the school holidays.

The Summer Reading Challenge is a great way for children to keep reading over the summer, build confidence and enjoy books in a fun and flexible way.

How to join
Families can visit their local Kent library from Sabado 4 Hulyo 2026 to sign up and start the Challenge.
Children can borrow books, collect their Challenge materials and take part at their own pace. Kent Libraries will also be running free activities and events throughout the Challenge.
Children do not need to join on the first day. They can sign up at any time during the Summer Reading Challenge period.
Can your organisation help?
Kent Libraries would value support from local organisations, community groups, schools and partners to help reach more families and children.
You can help by:
- sharing information through your channels
- including a mention in newsletters or local communications
- displaying or sharing promotional materials
- encouraging families to visit their local library and take part
Even a small action can help more children discover the Challenge and enjoy reading over the summer.
