Dover Town Council marked the beginning of the new civic year with the annual Mayor Making ceremony, held at the Maison Dieu on 18maio 2026.
Na cerimônia, Cllr Bekah Dawes was appointed as the new Prefeito de Dover, com Cllr Janet Kember appointed as Vice-prefeito.
The Mayor Making ceremony is an important occasion in Dover’s civic calendar, bringing together councillors, guests, community representatives and leaders from local organisations to recognise the role of the Mayor and the continued work of the Town Council in supporting the town.
Após o processo formal, convidados participaram de uma recepção na Maison Dieu, providing an opportunity to meet the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor, reflect on the year ahead, and celebrate the partnerships that help support Dover’s community life.
Dover Town Council looks forward to working with Cllr Dawes and Cllr Kember during the 2026/27 civic year.
