Ons is diep hartseer om te hoor van die dood van Anthony Hawkings MBE, Hy is op 29 Mei as ere -vrye persoon vir Dover Town Council geïnstalleer 2024, wat onlangs oorlede is na 'n kort siekte. Our condolences go out to Anthony’s family, vriende, and colleagues during this difficult time.
Tony Hawkins awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 1998 in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the RNLI. The following year he retired as a lifeboat man but was still actively involved in supporting the work of Dover’s Lifeboat Station.
In addition to the MBE Tony, had received many awards, letters of thanks and recognition for his volunteering work for the RNLI and from other organisations that he has assisted over the years.
