Dover Town Council attended the Herald of Free Enterprise Memorial Service on the 6th March at 10am, hosted at the Royal Cinque Ports Association in Dover.
The memorial service provided an important opportunity for reflection and remembrance, bringing together members of the Cinque Ports community to honour those affected by the Herald of Free Enterprise tragedy and to recognise its lasting impact on families, survivors, and maritime communities.
As part of the commemoration, floral tributes were placed on the pier. Councillor Bedi attended on behalf of Dover Town Council to pay respects and to show the Council’s continuing support for occasions that acknowledge Dover’s maritime history and the shared heritage of the Cinque Ports.
