Dover Town Council is proud to support local volunteering and offers a number of opportunities to lend a hand on projects that benefit the town.

Community Gardening & Greening Projects

Help care for public planters, hanging baskets, and flower displays — from planting to light maintenance. Volunteers also support projects at the Mel Wrigley Hub as part of the white cliffs countryside partnership.

Town Centre Clean-Up & Pride Days

Join in with litter picks, street tidy-ups, and town centre beautification efforts. These events are a great way to meet others while helping to keep Dover looking its best.

Support for Local Events

From stewarding and setting up gazebos to helping with arts and cultural activities, volunteers are often needed to help deliver public events supported by Dover Town Council — including seasonal celebrations and community festivals.

Community Noticeboard Support

Help keep Dover’s community noticeboards up to date with useful information, event posters, and public messages. This role is great for residents who enjoy staying in the loop and want to make sure important updates reach as many people as possible.

Environmental & Green Space Support
