This informative community event will highlight how a range of emergency and rescue services work together to respond to incidents along the coastline and at sea. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the crews, learn more about their roles, and gain a better understanding of the joined-up response that helps keep people safe.
Organisations expected to attend include HM Coastguard, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Kentin poliisi, Highways Agency, Border Force, Port of Dover Police, St John Ambulance, National Coastwatch Institution, British Transport Police, RNLI Littlestone, British Divers Marine Life Rescue, and 4×4 Rescue Response, alongside the team at the Dover RNLI Lifeboat Station.
Tours of the Dover lifeboat will also be available, subject to operational requirements on the day.
