Dover Town Council marks International Women’s Day

Dover Town Council marks International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March 2025 by celebrating the achievements of women in the local community. The council supports events and projects that highlight the contributions women have made to Dover’s past, present, and future.

It’s an opportunity to recognise women making a difference in community life, local businesses, the arts, and leadership – while raising awareness of the ongoing journey towards equality.

To mark the occasion, 3 attendees will representing the Town of Dover including the Mayor’s nominated civic partner Laurie Porter and Councillor Pam Brivio will be attending a special International Women’s Day Dinner, hosted by the Mayoress of New Romney. The evening will feature guest speaker Susie Warran-Smith CBE DL, celebrating the role of women in shaping our communities and inspiring positive change.
