Bee Friendly Awards
Dover Town Council is pleased to celebrate the Bee Friendly Awards, recognising the efforts being made to support pollinators, wildlife and greener spaces across the town.
The awards highlight the importance of simple, practical action — from planting bee-friendly flowers and creating habitats, to encouraging residents, groups and organisations to think about how their outdoor spaces can better support biodiversity.
Bees and other pollinators play a vital role in the natural environment, helping plants, flowers and food crops to grow. By supporting bee-friendly planting and more nature-conscious approaches to gardening, the awards help raise awareness of how everyone can contribute to a healthier local environment.
The Bee Friendly Awards are also a chance to recognise the work of local people, community groups and organisations who are helping to make Dover greener, more colourful and more welcoming for wildlife.
Dover Town Council is proud to support initiatives that encourage environmental care, community participation and small changes that can make a lasting difference in partnership with local organisations and co-lead with Dover in Bloom organisers Future Foundry.
