Yesterday afternoon, Pencester Gardens transformed into a whimsical wonderland as over 200 people gathered to enjoy Alice Through the Looking Glass, performed by Quantum Theatre Productions.

As part of the Summer Pavilion Programme, organised and funded by Dover Town Council, the free event invited families and people of all ages to step into Lewis Carroll’s fantastical world. From 1pm to 3pm, with a short break for refreshments, the audience was treated to an energetic and imaginative performance filled with colourful characters, witty dialogue, and live music.

Spectators praised the cast for their enthusiasm and creativity, bringing the much-loved story to life in a way that kept both children and adults captivated. The laughter, applause, and smiles from the crowd were a testament to the show’s charm and the performers’ talent.

The Summer Pavilion Programme continues throughout the season, offering more free entertainment for the community to enjoy right in the heart of Dover.

Upcoming event Defying Gravity will be available at the Pencester Pavilion on the 20th August from 11am – 4pm.
